In Ikom and Ogoja, the organization met with stakeholders of the Senatorial Districts, comprising Abi, Yakurr, Obubra, Etung, Ikom and Boki LGA’s. Other LGA’s include Ogoja, Obudu, Bekwarra, Obanliku and Yala. The voters awareness sensitization was led by Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, Director General, in his entourage were Hon. Speaking during the event, the Director General, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar expressed gratitude to the LGA and Ward cordinators including stakeholders, he stated that Cross River State has benefited so much from the APC government citing the federal highway which was in a deplorable state during the entire 16years era of the PDP and was only dualized under the APC’s administration.

He thanked Gov. Ben Ayade for his firmness in driving the back to South agenda and for navigating the State to socket to the centre.

He said Ayade has left structures that will create revenue avenues for the state and must be succeeded by a visionary leader.

“Sen. Prince Otu was a one term Senator but his accomplishment in terms of meaningful representation and empowerment is still unrivaled in the history of Cross River State, he stands as the best option to succeed Ayade.

On zoning, Hon. Ironbar said
“We have enjoyed peace since 1999 because of zoning, unlike other states, there has been no blood shed in elections in the state; from the south it went to Central and North and it’s only natural and fair that it returns back to the South. nobody should be allowed to truncate a process that has brought us peaceful transitions over the years due to selfishness, greed and desperation.”

“All we need is to be more prudent in our various wards and villages, voters sensitizaon at different levels must be actively carried out. Stand strong in your polling Unit and deliver all APC candidates in your polling units” he said..

Also speaking, the Deputy Director General, Hon. Boniface Okache drew the attention of stakeholders on the right way to vote. He said the the index finger thumbprint on the ballot should be placed in the box beside the APC logo noting that the vote becomes invalid once the thumbprint crosses to another Party’s logo.

He charged stakeholders to educate members of their wards.

The team was received by LGA and ward coordinators of the Central and Northern Senatorial District.

Highlights of the event was the distribution of voters sensitization and campaign materials to all the wards in the Central and Northern Senatorial District
