That Diatribe In Support Of Hon.Daniel Asuquo And The Need To Vote Hon. Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr.
Politics Sunday, January 15th, 2023
Just yesterday, there was an unsuccessful attempt to denigrate the personality of the immediate past commissioner for finance, CRS and the APC senatorial candidate for the southern senatorial district in the February 11 national Assembly elections, Hon. Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr.
The writer, a non existent individual, hired with a blood stained peanut to launder the image and market an obviously unmarketable and expired Daniel Asuquo, who has been in the national assembly for the past 12 years without anything to show for it.
Unfortunately for the hireling and his hirer, the era of political violence and thuggery that they are notorious for is over. It is also the end of road for them who continue to believe the the politics of cash and carry, deceit and blackmail as young people have risen up to snatch leadership mantle which has long eluded them.
For the records, the APC senatorial candidate, Hon. Asuquo Ekpenyong has been actively involved in politics and political activities for too long to be a push aside it is ignorant for anyone to assume or describe another as politically naive simply because one has not contested for a political office.
It is also instructive to mention that there are too many examples that adorn our political landscape of political heavyweights and kingmakers who have never contested for any political office but yet have supported others to get into public office. Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr, despite his youthfulness have over the years, liased, worked and partnered with many to support people into one political office or the other.
That he has now decided to contest for a public office is a testament to the fact that he is a leader who is not only willing to lead but also to serve.
On zoning one may ask, when dansuki stole Biase’s mandate for a 3rd term in the federal house of representative did justice and equity? Sometimes in politics circumstances and situations give birth to reality. The Candidacy of Hon asuquo Ekpenyong is a unifier and above all a product of TOTAL consensus and generational shift for good of all.
It is important at this point to state that the chances of Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr looks very bright in the forth coming election and that not only will he emerge victorious, but will do that with an impressively wide margin. Hon. Daniel Asuquo, sensing his defeat already have decided to grab anything that is visible to the eyes just to score some cheap point.
It is a pity because the people of southern Cross River are wiser and smarter now. No one will fall to the prey of a non performing lawmaker who has occupied the same position for the past 12 years without anything to show for. A vote for Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr is a vote for legislative performance and excellent oversight that will, without doubt bring home the needed dividends of democracy not just to the People of southern senatorial district but to Cross Riverians at large.
